BIO

I am an e-learning designer in Te Puna Ako Centre for Tertiary Teaching & Learning, where my main focus is supporting academic staff to enhance their teaching practices and their students' learning through thoughtful use of technology. Although most of these academic staff are based in New Zealand, some are also based offshore where they teach on a number of our degree programmes in China and Vietnam.

With more than 35 years of work experience in the tertiary education sector, I consider myself a well-rounded educator. I draw strongly on the rich experiences gained in a number of roles over the years, having also worked overseas as a chemistry lecturer and previously in New Zealand at the country's top three ITPs in a number of roles including teaching, programme management, academic development and course/curriculum development roles.

From time to time, I dabble in a bit of research related mainly to professional development for tertiary teachers, and the use of technology in tertiary teaching.
