I bring an extensive teaching background in private, corporate, and community early childhood education to my research career. I have worked on a number of research projects, including Teaching and Learning Research Initiatives, a Marsden project, and an evaluation project for the Ministry of Education.

My research passions include critical pedagogy and democracy, and addressing barriers to human development. I am particularly interested in the interface between teaching practice and teaching theory.

I have completed all my qualifications at the University of Waikato, including my research degrees, and it is a pleasure to be able to continue here as a staff member.
