Ngā mihi mahoro ki a koe

I am a Senior Lecturer in Te Wānanga Toi Tangata– the Division of Education, and over 2022-2024, I assumed the position of Deputy Associate Dean Academic [DADA]. I have a continuity of professional leadership, academic research, and teaching in social sciences and history education and curriculum and policy studies. I view the teacher education interface within university and school settings as an exciting relational and reciprocal space, whereby understandings of curriculum and pedagogies are applied, and critiqued. Through my career, I have been a leader in social sciences and history curriculum initiatives and reforms, including senior schooling NCEA and NZ Scholarship assessment. This has involved making connections with teaching professionals and researchers across Secondary schooling and tertiary sectors.
