Parviz is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Engineering, University of Waikato, based in HEBUST, Shijiazhuang, China. He has previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Pusan National University, Busan, Republic of Korea. In addition, He has held the role of Assistant Professor at ABRU, Iran. Parviz's research interests include finite element method, additive manufacturing, material modelling, sustainable manufacturing, composites, optimisation, machine learning, and friction stir welding.
