BIO

Oleg N. Medvedev, Ph.D.

Ranked 6th in the world in mindfulness research and among the top 2% of researchers globally across disciplines (ScholarGPS, 2025), I have authored over 200 publications with more than 5,000 citations (h-index: 37). My research focuses on health and developmental psychology, exploring protective and risk factors in mental and physical health including affective disorders, schizophrenia, stroke, and dementia. I investigate complex psychological, neurological, and immunological processes employing advanced statistical and mathematical modelling such as Generalizability Theory, IRT/Rasch analysis, and network analyses, and integrate AI and machine learning to develop predictive models for cognitive decline and stroke risk.

I am Editor-in-Chief of the journal Mindfulness/Springer Nature (Q1, 5-year Impact Factor 4.3), the Journal of Psychology and AI/Taylor and Francis. I am also Co-Editor of two Major Reference Works – Live Editions: Handbook of Assessment in Mindfulness Research and International Handbook of Behavioral Health Assessment.
