Monica has a passion for teaching and has been providing teaching support to course convenors across Communications, Human Resources Management, and Management since 2020. She has facilitated in-person lectures, online and in-person workshops, and drop-in sessions to support student learning.

She thoroughly enjoys the engagement aspect of teaching, as it allows her to create a learning environment that is inclusive, interactive, and informative, helping students better comprehend course material.

Monica attended the Te Puna Aurei LearnFest in 2021 and 2022 alongside Senior Lecturer Dr. Suzette Dyer and Associate Professor Dr. Mary Simpson, who presented on the utilisation of Google Jamboard, an interactive online platform, within the HRMGT304 course. The presentation highlighted research findings from Monica's Master’s dissertation, which examined the implications of using Google Jamboard in a flexi-mode course at the University of Waikato
