Te mano, te mano, te mano

Moe is of Te Whānau-a-Apanui iwi, with whakapapa affiliations to Te Whakatōhea, Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Awa, Tūhoe and Ngā Puhi. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from the University of Waikato. Moe is the Te Whānau-a-Apanui representative to Te Rōpu Manukura, a committee of the University Council and in partnership with the University Council, a Kaitiaki of the Treaty of Waitangi for the University of Waikato. She is also a member of the Treaty of Waitangi Team of trainers and facilitators at the University of Waikato, delivering training to Waikato District Health Board staff, University of Waikato Orientation programme, Waikato Regional Council staff and Hamilton City Council staff. Moe devotes much of her time between her work for the University and her hapū and whanau commitments. She sits as the Chair of Maungaroa 1, Section 27 Trust on the Te Kaha Landowners Group (TKG) which is made up of six ahu whenua trusts’. She is a Director on the TKG Te Heriko and Whakaruru Nurseries and Director of Tui Lodge Limited Partnership. Moe is also committed to whanau and marae through her representation as Chair of the Papera and Te Paonarangi Wharepapa Whanau Trust and Marae Trustee for Maungaroa marae.
