BIO

As a natural products chemist, I works on both terrestrial and marine organisms, primarily to isolate bioactive and/or novel compounds with potential use in pharmaceutical, agricultural or horticultural industries. I am also interested in chemical ecology or how organisms utilise chemical in their everyday lives.

I teach organic chemistry at second, third year and Masters levels and supervise graduate students.
