Lisette is Director of Te Ngira Institute for Population Research and a Professor in Community Health and Physical Culture. She is co - Editor in Chief of Sport, Education and Society, past-President, Fellow and Life Member of Physical Education New Zealand (PENZ) and member of the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE), the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport (NASSS) and the British Educational Research Association (BERA).
