BIO

He uri ahau nō Ngāti Ranginui, Ngai Te Rangi.

I am a qualified and registered early childhood teacher with extensive teaching experience in both Aotearoa and Sydney, Australia. I am passionate about early childhood education and the impactful change early childhood teachers bring to the lives of tamariki, whānau, and the communities in which they work.

As the professional experience coordinator (ECE) and teaching fellow on early childhood programmes, I am committed to supporting our future early childhood teachers to explore contemporary pedagogies, culturally-responsive practices, challenge pre-determined assumptions, engage with kaupapa Māori and Pasifika perspectives, think critically, acknowledge and respect diverse ways of being, and most importantly be the best teachers they can for our beautiful tamariki!

I believe that teaching and learning is and should be fun so hope to instill a life-long love of learning in my tauira that they can pass on to the tamariki they work with.
