I am a Lecturer in Nursing with a clinical background in district nursing and a professional focus on strengthening education and workforce development within community-based healthcare. My academic and clinical roles are closely aligned, with research interests grounded in the realities of District Nursing in Aotearoa New Zealand, an essential yet under-researched area of healthcare delivery.

I currently teach final-year nursing students in assessment and practice, drawing on my ongoing experience as a casual district nurse with Te Whatu Ora Waikato. My doctoral research explores a novel model of district nursing care and its alignment with population need. Alongside this, I have developing research interests in nursing innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the use of digital health and AI to inform assessment and curriculum design within nursing education. Through this work, I aim to support the growth of a responsive and future-focused nursing workforce.
