Prior to joining academia, I worked in instructional design and consulting positions in public and private institutions in Singapore. Prior to joining University of Waikato, I have held academic positions at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the University of Otago at Dunedin, New Zealand. Facilitating educators to translate educational technology theories into usable and effective pedagogical practices drives my research. To date, my research work has contributed validated surveys for the assessment of teachers' confidence in their technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) and university teachers' and students' confidence in online dexterity. I have also integrated concepts of design thinking to enhance teachers'  creation of student-centred learning practices. I am interested in developing understanding about emerging educational technologies, teacher knowledge development, and the applications of design thinking in different educational contexts.
