BIO

I am a Senior Lecturer in Ultrasound within the New Zealand Graduate School of Medicine, with more than 20 years of clinical sonography experience. My teaching and research focus on Point-of-Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) education, with particular interest in curriculum development for primary care and rural/remote clinical settings in Aotearoa New Zealand and across the Pacific.

Alongside my academic role, I hold leadership positions as President of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM), Administrative Councillor and Centre of Education Task Force Chair at the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB), and Regional Director of RAD-AID South Pacific.

My work is grounded in a commitment to sustainable, contextually appropriate ultrasound education for underserved communities, with active programmes spanning Vanuatu, Tonga, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands ,Samoa, and Fiji.
