BIO

Having delivered a few guest lectures here in recent years, I'm excited to be teaching Planning in Aotearoa New Zealand this year.

Originally from Ohio, USA, I studied at Harvard University in Boston and have worked in Portland, Oregon, but have spent most of the last 30 years living and working in New Zealand since I came to Dunedin in 1995 as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.  I hope to bring a varied practitioner's perspective from my 25+ years of planning and policy experience, most of which has been in New Zealand local government from Westland to Wellington to the Waikato.
