Professor Hannah Stark is Head of Arts Te Kura Toi at the University of Waikato.

Hannah is a graduate of the Univeristy of Adelaide and prior to joining Waikato she worked for 15 years at the University of Tasmania where she was Head of English and Writing and held a number of leadership positions including as Associate Head Research and as a leader of graduate research portfolios. Hannah has holistic experience of university leadership and governance spanning research, teaching innovation, resource management, safety and wellbeing, strategic planning, change management, graduate research, external partnerships, and staff development. She is particularly passionate about working with early career academics and fostering dynamic research cultures. 

Hannah has been a visiting researcher at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Oulu. She has held Australian Research Council and Ian Potter funding.
