I am a qualitative PhD researcher based in the School of Sport and Human Movement at the University of Waikato, and a member of the Laboratory of Digital Artefacts (LAD) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil.

My research explores the Aotearoa New Zealand esports ecosystem, examining how esports have developed locally and how esports practices are assembled, sustained, and challenged.

My previous research explored how the game Counter-Strike contributed to shaping gaming culture in Brazil, and its role in developing technological literacy, especially among youth. Alongside my academic work, I'm also a digital marketing specialist, having held several roles in the private sector.
