BIO

Farzaneh Taheri is a PhD candidate in Environmental Science at the University of Waikato, New Zealand. Her research focuses on freshwater ecosystem dynamics, hydrodynamic and water quality modelling, and carbon cycling in lakes and reservoirs. She is currently investigating the impacts of elevated CO₂ on Lake Karapiro using high-frequency monitoring, ecosystem modelling, and causal inference approaches to understand better the physical and biological processes controlling freshwater systems.
