BIO

I am a human geographer, interested in the issues of social justice and the provision of affordable housing in New Zealand. I have completed Bachelors and Masters degrees in Geography at the University of Waikato, a Masters degree in Resource and Environmental Planning at Massey University, New Zealand, and a PhD in Geography at Macquarie University, Australia. Building on disciplinary interest in people and place, my research continues exploration of the human geographies of music, migration, and urban spaces. I have supervised a number of PhDs to completion, covering such topics as football fandom, homelessness, and digital storytelling.
