BIO

Brian Cole (Kāi Tahu – Ōraka-Aparima, Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe) is a Research Project Developer who joined Research & Enterprise in 2015. He helps deliver major research initiatives and connects researchers with industry, government, and other external partners to create impactful collaborations and funding opportunities. Brian works closely with Engineering, Computer Science, Te Ipu o te Mahara – AI Institute, and Te Puna Haumaru – New Zealand Institute for Security and Crime Science.

He has held a range of roles in the military and private sector and holds a Bachelor of Electronic Commerce from the University of Waikato. Outside of work, Brian volunteers with Taskforce Kiwi, supporting disaster recovery and community resilience across Aotearoa.
