BIO
I provide support for teaching staff in all aspects of their teaching practice through one-on-one consultations, workshops, formal teaching in the Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching & Learning, and other initiatives. I am a geoscience education specialist and am passionate about experiential, immersive and residential learning in all disciplines. My research involves several aspects: affective outcomes of STEM undergraduate field experiences, educational leadership and professional development, and action research interventions in the classroom. At the heart of my work is teaching development built through partnerships that empower teaching staff to experiment with and reflect on practice that leads to more enriching and inclusive student outcomes. Outside of work, I love surfing, seeing live music, and traveling with my partner and our cat.
I am based in Te Puna Ako - Centre for Tertiary Teaching & Learning (CeTTL) and work from the Tauranga campus.
